Guided by the reform and opening up policy, the third team of Qiansong Village embarked on an entrepreneurial venture in handicraft workshops, producing tofu, cement bags, glass fibers, and asbestos tiles.
The establishment of Huangxian County Glass Fiber Factory and Insulating Materials General Factory marked a significant milestone, with their production efficiency topping the charts in Shandong Province.
The Xinhua Wool and Cotton Textile General Factory were established, capturing over 80% of the national market with its acrylic pillowcases, towel quilts, carded blankets, and other wool and cotton textile products.
Nanshan’s commitment to social development was evident in its investment in Xinhua Kindergarten, laying the foundation for its educational initiatives. The launch of Nanshan Hotel signified the dawn of tourism development in the region.
Nanshan Group was established with the total assets exceeding RMB 1 billion, embarking on a trajectory of rapid growth and expansive investment.
The Group invested in the construction of the Nanshan Power Plant, with a capacity of 1x1.5MW. It introduced aluminum production lines and kicked off the construction of aluminum factories to establish a comprehensive aluminum industry chain.
In response to market dynamics, Nanshan Group accelerated industrial transformation and upgrading. It introduced world-class equipment, and invested in the construction of worsted woolen and clothing projects, achieving an impressive annual output of 36 million meters of worsted woolen fabrics.
In alignment with the national tourism development policy, Nanshan Group made significant investments to construct Nanshan Wellness & Leisure Palace (now the College of Music and Dance of Yantai Nanshan University) and the 27-hole Nanshan International Golf Course. It also established the Nanshan International Travel Agency.
Nanshan Aluminum was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (ticker symbol: 600219).
Heeding the progressive call of the CPC Longkou City Committee and the People’s Government of Longkou City, Nanshan Group boldly invested over RMB 6 billion in the Donghai Island Tourist Resort. This visionary project encompasses five functional zones dedicated to industrial manufacturing, international commerce, culture and education, residential living, and leisure tourism.
The CPC Longkou City Committee and People’s Government of Longkou City entrusted Nanshan Group with the stewardship of Qimu Island, leading to the monumental construction of the Qimu Island Port. It spent RMB 3.7 billion in infrastructure facilities and 32 state-of-the-art berths.
A significant investment was made in the construction of Nanshan Light Alloy, China's first company capable of producing cans and can materials. In response to the national real estate development policy, Nanshan Group has strategically entered the real estate industry, focusing on Longkou and Yantai.
November marked a significant milestone for Nanshan Group with the inception of Nanshan Finance, heralding its ambitious footprint in the financial sector.
While ensuring steady growth in aluminum, textiles and apparel, tourism, finance and real estate, Nanshan Group invested in supporting industries, further clarifying its diversified industrial pattern. In August, the construction of Nanshan University for the Aged and Nanshan Health Valley Cancer Hospital started; Nanshan Group was approved as a national postdoctoral research workstation.
Following directives from the CPC Longkou City Committee and People's Government of Longkou City, Nanshan Group completed a 35.23 km2 reclamation project to develop and construct the artificial island on the west coast of Longkou City, now known as Yulong Island.
Nanshan Group’s ambition to establish the world’s leading aluminum material industry base is embodied in the construction of an aviation material industrial park. On February 27, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology designated Nanshan and Donghai Industrial Park as key areas for the development of the aluminum and aluminum product industries. On April 17, the Ministry of Science and Technology approved the establishment of the National Engineering Technology Research Center for Aluminum Alloy Pressure Processing at Nanshan Aluminum.
On October 13, Nanshan Aluminum rolled out aluminum alloy sheets for automobiles, filling in the blanks of aluminum alloy sheets for vehicle bodies in China.
In April, Nanshan Group was included in the first batch of "Remarkable Shandong" enterprises. At the end of November, Nanshan Group won the title of National Technology Innovation Demonstration Enterprise.
Nanshan Group's investment in the Yulong Petrochemical Industrial Park signified a new starting point for its second entrepreneurial venture, paving the way for its centennial journey. On December 8, the company celebrated the groundbreaking of the Nanshan Indonesia Bintan Industrial Park.
On October 22, Nanshan Group acquired Hengtong Logistics. On December 22, Nanshan Fashion was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (ticker symbol: 300918), marking a new stage of development.
Nanshan further combed and refined its cultural ethos, adopted the guiding principle of “integration, optimization, innovation, improvement and development,and adjusted its organizational structure, steering the company towards a new era of development.
At the beginning of 2024, the Board of Directors proposed a strategy to "becomea modernized enterprise committed to high-quality development," ensuringsustained, steady, and high-quality growth across Nanshan Group.
The vigorous development of the cultural tourism industry, with the addition of new projects such as Riyue Lake Water Park, International Skiing Resort.Castle Hotel, and Yibinlou Hotel, continues to enhance Nanshan's tourism businesses and supporting services.
